After weeks of speculation - and the introduction of a new judge- the third DWTS 2025 contestant has been named.
Hosts Doireann Garrihy and Jennifer Zamparelli teased a cracking lineup for the new season at the beginning of December with the latter calling it her 'favourite casting so far.'
The list apparently included 'a mystery actress' and someone 'who loves a party' along with someone who 'had to be in the mix for the year that's in it,'

Could they be talking about the third contestant with that last one? Perhaps.
Gearóid Farrelly will be swapping his mic for a pair of dance shoes as he battles it out to lift the glitterball.
The Irish comedian first came to public attention when he became a finalist at the So You Think You're Funny? competition at the Edinburgh Festival.

Since then he has appeared alongside some of the best in the business from Joan Rivers to Sarah Millican alongside some of own homegrown talent including Neil Delamere and Joanne McNally.
More recently he has become known for his podcasts and his hit Edinburgh show Turbulence.
His appearance on the show will see him dance with a male partner and Gearóid is thrilled to be flying the flag for the gay community even if he is a little concerned about his dance skills.

'I am absolutely terrified. Well, I was terrified before the meet and greet, walking into that room was genuinely one of the scariest things I have ever done,' he confessed.
He went on to say: 'But everybody is so nice, we are gelling as a gang so fast and I'm just enjoying every second of it.'
'As a young gay kid, if I had seen two men dancing together on the television, it would have been such a relief.

He said of his soon to be revealed dance partner: ' He was also bullied at school because he was the dancer. So we were really on the same page with this.
'He's just the best, I was a little concerned at the beginning about being in this man's space because he's straight and I'm gay and I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable, or that he felt he had to do this.
'So, we've had that chat as well and he is so up for this from a choreography point of view.'

Gearóid is a huge fan of the show and has been a member of the audience previously and already sought advice from past contestants.
His appearance announcement comes after former Miss Universe Ireland Aishah Akorede was announced as the first contestant in 2025 followed by Mrs. Brown's Boys star Danny O'Carroll.

It's also been revealed that fan favourite Karen Byrne will join the judging panel.
Dancing With The Stars returns in January 2025.
