Taylor Swift fans have hit out at her self-published Eras Tour Book after spotting a litany of embarrassing mistakes.

Many queued for hours to get their hands on the $40 (€38) book, which sold more than 800,000 copies last weekend after its US release.

But fans were disappointed to find the book - documenting Taylor's two-year tour which finishes this month - full of spelling and grammatical errors, blurry pictures and upside down pages.

One person wrote online: 'This book, riddled with errors, is a fitting reflection of her career… TRASH but commercially successful.'

On TikTok, one fan pointed out that Taylor's Toronto gig was missing from an index page of concerts.

Another, who queued from 5am, wrote: 'If you're paying $40, wouldn't you expect the pictures to not be cut off?'

Pointing out the errors, a third fan said: 'When I got home and starting flicking through the book I was actually blown away by the amount of grammatical mistakes, so many in fact that I am seriously questioning if this book was even edited.

'If there are certain spelling mistakes that are really distracting it really takes me out of the reading experience and I really, really felt that with this book. Wouldn't you expect the pictures to be crisp and clean and not blurry?

'I don't know if they were on a deadline or what. The grammatical problems that I have found should have been fixed right away.'

Taylor announced she was releasing the Eras Tour book in October, writing: 'We’ll be kicking off the final leg of The Eras Tour this week, which is hard to comprehend. This tour has been the most wondrous experience and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way.

'Well, two ways actually. Excited to announce that The Official Eras Tour Book, filled with my own personal reflections, never-before-seen behind-the-scenes photos, all the magical memories you guys brought every single night AND …. The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology on vinyl and CD will all be available for the first time ever only at @Target starting Nov 29th.'

She then confirmed the book would be available for international fans on her website after finishing up her run of Toronto shows in November.

She wrote: 'International fans, I’m excited to tell you The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology will be available to you online starting 29 Nov at 1pm GMT along with The Official Eras Tour Book starting 7 Dec at 1pm GMT.'
