Rhys McClenaghan had his moment in the sun over the summer, when he secured the first Olympic gold medal Ireland has ever won in gymnastics, and now he is enjoying that sunshine again... this time in a more literal sense!
After years of strict training, the sportsman is enjoying a well-deserved holiday of a lifetime. He is on a dreamy holiday in Bali, Indonesia, alongside his girlfriend Emilee Corr.
Emilee is also an accomplished gymnast, holding titles as an Irish champion and a Northern Ireland champion in acrobatic gymnastics, so it comes as no surprise that their trip is jam-packed with adventure.
Rhys has taken to his social media to share snaps of the couple, who have been together for about five years, getting up to some daring activities on the island.
'Bali is hitting different, living my best life out here,' he wrote in a post, which he shared with his 153k Instagram followers.
The athlete shared a snap of himself ziplining over Bali's signature green rolling hills. In another snap, he leaped from wall to wall as he crossed over a river.
The Down natives did make some room for romance on their trip too though. Rhys shared a snap of his longtime love sitting in a pool, with a heart-shaped spread floating in front of her. The couple also took time to pose in front of a scenic waterfall.
The Bali trip is part of the tour of Asia that the pair are on, which has seen them stop off in some pretty amazing destinations. Rhys posted a series of snaps of himself posing with an elephant in Krabi, Thailand. He got into the river alongside the animal.
The couple also smiled alongside monkeys, who climbed on top of them, before going on to meet even more monkeys in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
They jetted off on the holiday on November 15, and have been living it up ever since! We can't wait to see where the next tropical location will be...
