However, the actor has now taken a huge step in his new relationship with singer Gracie Abrams as they made their red carpet debut together on Monday.
The couple, who were first romantically linked in August after they were spotted kissing in London's Mayfair, posed as a couple for the first time at the Los Angeles premiere of Paul's new film, Gladiator II.
The 28-year-old was first spotted with the singer back in June, causing fans to speculate he had been taken off the market, having been publicly single since his split from his rumoured ex-fiancée Phoebe Bridgers.
In pictures obtained by MailOnline in August, the pair were spotted 'kissing a lot' during the date as they strolled around together. An onlooker told the outlet that they put on a 'loved up display' as they headed to a nearby park.

Who is Gracie Abrams?
Gracie Abrams is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Los Angeles. The nepo baby is the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and film and TV producer Katie McGrath.
She's been on the music scene for six years having released her debut single Mean It in October 2019. The following July Gracie released her debut EP Minor.

The songstress released her debut album Good Riddance in February 2023 and subsequently performed as an opening act at selected shows on the US leg of Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour.
The 24-year-old, who has been friends with Taylor since 2022, also made a surprise appearance at Wembley Stadium in June 2024 to perform their track us for the audience.

A source then told The Sun: 'Paul and Gracie looked like any other young couple hitting the shops, and they went almost unnoticed. They seemed very relaxed in each other’s company and were busy checking out the posh shops on Bond Street.'
