Between their gigs hosting the Late Late Show and This Morning, Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley make quite the TV power couple.

Cat was praised as a 'perfect' host after she made her This Morning debut alongside Rylan Clark in 2023 and she later joined the show as a new host alongside Ben Shephard. Now, according to the Daily Mail, she's said to have signed on for another year with the deal said to come with a £600k (€723k) salary.

The mum-of-two first shot to fame in the 90s and has since appeared on several big TV shows. While her work has mostly been based in the US for the last few years, we're sure that Cat will be spending more time on our shores now with her new TV gig in the UK and Patrick's Friday night commitments.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2012 in Rome, have two sons and often spend time in Ireland. In fact, they walked the IFTAs red carpet together in May 2023.

So, how much do you know about Cat? Here are a few fun facts about her that you mightn't have known!

Cat's full name is actually Catherine Elizabeth but when she signed up with modelling agency Storm she started to go by her nickname Cat. The agency already had several other Catherines on their books so it helped her stand out.

She worked as a model until the end of the 90s when Cat turned her talents to presenting. Some of Cat's early jobs included presenting Hitlist UK with Edith Bowman, joining SMTV live in 1998 with Ant & Dec and fronting Fame Academy.

Fame Academy would prove to be a very important part of Cat's life as it's where she met her future husband, Patrick.

She's got a beauty brand

Not only is Cat a pro on TV but she’s also a businesswoman and runs beauty brand E11even Fragrance with her longtime friend Amanda Grossman. The duo have been pals for more than two decades and they jetted into Dublin to launch their first perfume oil in March.

With Amanda in the UK and Cat in the US with Patrick and their sons, they decided during lockdown that they would launch the oil Amanda has been creating and wearing for 20 years.

While filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show in 2021, Cat revealed that she was very organised when it came to her wedding day and had the dress sorted before the groom!

She explained: 'It was a couture dress from Alexander McQueen. It was so beautiful that I just couldn’t not buy it. I hadn’t even met Paddy at that stage. I put it in my cupboard and was like "I'll wear it to something… I'll wear it to some awards".'

Patrick and Cat couldn't agree on a name for their firstborn

Cat has teased in the past that it got so bad she was convinced Patrick would 'file divorce papers' while they were trying to choose a name for their little boy, saying 'we weren’t talking to each other — it was awful, it was just horrific.'

She told Jimmy Kimmell that they still didn't have a name picked out when they left the hospital with their newborn. 'We left the hospital without a name — the baby was just called "Baby Deeley," which p***ed my husband off anyway,' Cat said.

While Cat liked 'simple names' like James - which they ended up using for their second child - Patrick preferred names that were 'a little more out there' and it took her mother getting involved for a name to be picked.

'[My mom] asked, "Well, what would you have called her if [it] was a girl?" and I said Milo. And she said, "Where did you get that from?" and I said, "An American in Paris — Gene Kelly, he has an art-dealer friend and she’s called Milo",' Cat recalled.

Patrick said that Milo was a 'boy's name' and after a bit of Googling they decided the name was 'very nice' and fit for their baby boy.

She had a role in the kids' film Robots

She is the voice of Loretta Geargrinder and replaced Natasha Lyonne who played the character for the American release.
