As she's wowing audiences in the West End with a stint in the critically acclaimed show '2:22 A Ghost Story', Girls Aloud icon Cheryl is reportedly receiving worrying messages along with her flowers and praise at the end of each show.
A source has come forward to The Sun to talk about the impact of the messages Cheryl has been receiving from a stalker recently.
Referring to the person as a 'nutter' the source has explained that there is at least one person 'sending some pretty disgusting and disturbing messages' to the 39-year-old.
Explaining the alarming pattern, the source said 'She hasn’t been shown them but they’re included with the flowers people leave after performances.'
After receiving a number of these seedy messages, Cheryl has reportedly been beefing up her security measures to feel safer as she takes the stage night after night.
In a packed theatre atmosphere, the mum-of-one already has plenty to contend with without being harassed and, the source shares, 'Steps have been taken to ramp up security and put her mind at rest' as a team of guards protect her.
After each show, it's reported that Cheryl makes a swift exit out the back, hops in a car, and is escorted directly to her door in Buckinghamshire.
In happier news, the former X Factor judge has been receiving rave reviews about her performance as Jenny, a mother concerned that her new house is haunted, as she adapts from a career on tour to a more thespian line of work.
Cheryl took over the show's lead role of Jenny from former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore who took the role after Lily Allen.
Ex-bandmates Kimberly Walsh and Nicola Roberts have attended the theatre to support Cheryl's West End debut in the role, as well as Simon Cowell's fiancée Lauren Silverman.
