Pics: Zara and Mike Tindall join the family for first post-baby date at Royal Ascot

The royals are back at Royal Ascot! Long a popular royal day out, members of the royal family were unable to descend on the racecourse for the famous meet last year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Zara Tindall led the stylish charge at day one of Royal Ascot as she and her husband Mike enjoyed a date day out after recently welcoming their third child together, a son called Lucas, who arrived in a very unexpected manner.

The equestrian opted for a €395 mini dress from the royal-approved label Me+Em, Kate Middleton has a number of their Breton tops.

The mum-of-three gave a fresh take on the classic polka dot print as the dress had contrasting size dots all-over with larger dots adorning the chic waist belt, the cuffs and ruffles on the skirt.

Sophie Wessex looked radiant as she also opted for a neutral ensemble for the day at the races.

The Countess of Wessex looked elegant in a soft blush pink dress by aRossGirl which had a nod to the summer's romantic fashion trends as it boasted stylish poet sleeves.

She styled the flowing dress with a statement silver necklace with matching tonal accessories including a circular disk hat.

The Duchess of Cornwall was the queen of summer style as she stepped out in a tonal striped blue ensemble by Bruce Oldfield which included a matching face mask.

The summery outfit was topped off with a sky blue wide-brim hat by Irish milliner Philip Treacy.

Prince Charles looked dapper in a grey three-piece suit and a top hat.

Princess Anne looked very regal in a navy blue linen shift which she paired it with a striking blazer.

Her accompanying coat was covered with a delicate floral detail and she also added a matching scarf.

There were a whole host of familiar faces spotted at the famous racecourse including Simon Cowell and Made in Chelsea's Georgia Toffolo.
