Emmy-nominated Paul Mescal may not have scooped a Golden Globe for Normal People but the Irish actor still has plenty to celebrate this week as his latest role has been announced, a leading part in Bring Them Down.
The revenge thriller Bring Them Down, will see 25-year-old Paul Mescal star alongside Mank actor Tom Burke.
Deadline reported the casting of Paul and Tom as leading men and described how the plot is centred around a farmer becoming embroiled in violence with a rural neighbour after mystery men massacre his sheep.

Christopher Andrews will make his directing debut on the project which will be filmed in the wild and rural landscape in the west of Ireland.
This leading role is another success for the Kildare native who was relatively unknown last year before Lenny Abrahamson's Normal People saw his star soar.
He currently has has a lead role in Benjamin Millepied’s Carmen in the pipeline and is working on The Lost Daughter, Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directional debut.

He was cheering on his Normal People family over the weekend as the show was up for Best TV Miniseries and close friend and co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones was up for Best Actress.
Alas, Irish eyes weren't smiling by the end of the night as neither walked away victorious. The Queen's Gambit and Anya Taylor-Joy scooped the prized in both categories.
