Wednesday night's episode of Riverdale marked the last episode actor Luke Perry had filmed before his tragic and unexpected death at 52 after a massive stroke.
He only appeared in two, short scenes.
Luke's final, bittersweet moments as Fred see him comfort his on-screen son Archie, played by KJ Appa, and accompany him to the hospital after a boxing match goes wrong.
Archie blames himself for Randy's death and Fred is there to do what he does best: provide a moral and stable presence for his son.

Fred tells Archie: 'Son, from everything you've said, it's clear Randy died from those drugs. The autopsy will support that. You're innocent.'
So far, show producers have not made it public how they plan to deal with Fred's absence from Riverdale in future episodes.
Viewers at home were heartbroken to see the late Luke Perry go, with droves taking to social media to react.
